-Does David have recording equipment in his house?
-Yes, a lot
-Did David really not know about the Life Story magazine as FOD is reporting?
-No, he obviously knew. I knew about it a month ago because he told me, so he definitely knew! He had to do a bunch of interviews and photoshoots for it. How would he not know?
-What is going on with David’s schooling at the moment?
-He isn’t currently enrolled at the moment but will probably get his GED soon.
-Any childhood possessions he still owns?
-Teddy bear named Billy and a Yoshi dinosaur.
-What hair products does he use?
-Mainly water, usually isn’t carefully styled unless he has to be somewhere.
-Soap, shampoo?
-Dove Soap, a mint-scented shampoo that makes his head tingle.
-Does David get along well with Daniel?
-Mostly, yes, especially in recent years but they still have their moments. They are completely different, but all of his siblings are very different from each other.
-What is something out of character David has done?
-David is very random and will start laughing for no reason while you’re talking to him. He’s very funny and has a really dry sense of humor, and doesn’t even mean to be funny most of the time. He can get confused or upset when people laugh when he wasn’t meaning to be funny, he makes a lot of off-topic comments in conversation and sometimes things fly right over his head in a deep conversation

-Too hard to answer.
-The sweetest thing he’s done for his family?
-He’s always very sweet to his family. He’s very thoughtful. There are plenty of times he’ll just give them stuff, or think about them when he’s out. He just wants his family to be happy and he likes to do things to make them happy. He’s very generous.
-Any pets we don’t know about?
-Way too many.
-How does he feel about having to wear makeup once in a while?
-David has very clear skin and basically never gets blemishes or acne. He doesn’t need hardly any makeup, if any at all, so they don’t put much on.
-Does David ever get annoying?
-Annoying isn’t the right word. Sometimes it’s like “do you ever stop?” because he talks a lot, and a lot of what he says is really random so people have trouble keeping up with his ‘language’. He rambles a lot and sings all the time-everything is a song even if it doesn’t make sense. He constantly connects words to lyrics.
-Has David ever gotten mad about anything?
-He gets annoyed, but not really mad. I’ve seen him get really irritated, but not often and it’s personal so I won’t say why. He is really tame and has a mild temperament. What you see is what you get. He’s very laidback and giggly. He does get upset sometimes but I’ve never seen him throw an anger fit like some people do.
-Is David a hyper person?
-He is actually pretty hyper but can control himself if he needs to. He isn’t annoyingly hyper but he gesticulates his speech. He moves around a lot and doesn’t sit still easily. He is always playing with something, like his napkin if he’s at a restaurant etc. He’s not destructive but he likes to keep himself occupied-always touching something, and always eating or drinking.
-Does David get uncomfortable around his guy friends when they talk about typical guy stuff?
-David really doesn’t hang out with guys at all. There are a few in his group of friends, but he’s not very close to them like he is with his girl friends. He has hundreds of girl friends. The guys he is friends with are generally different than him. He mostly clings to girls. He gets upset when we call him a flirt-he might not do it on purpose, but he’s definitely a flirt.
-Have you ever caught David giving a girl the “damn she’s hot” look, or calling a girl hot?
-No, he doesn’t express much emotion when it comes to girls’ looks. He’s not like most guys and it’s very sweet. I try to corrupt him but he either tunes me out or lectures me.
-What’s his favorite drink?
-Herbal tea, water, anything citric or sour.
-Does he prefer cream cheese or butter on his bagels?
-Cream cheese.
-What did David usually wear to school?
-David has always been a jeans & t-shirt guy. He’s always in jeans or pajamas if he’s in his house, and he walks outside in pjs at night sometimes. Most of his t-shirts had dinosaurs, dragons, or weird graffiti on them. His wardrobe is a little better now that people give him money to shop for himself, and he gets a lot of free stuff. He is a good dresser though, he matches his stuff well.
-Does David eat rice?
-He loves white rice stir fry.
-Favorite dessert?
-He loves cake, chocolate, ice cream, cheesecake.
-Has David picked up the car he got on American Idol yet?
-It’s a Ford Escape and he picked it up a few weeks ago.
-What does David like to snack on?
-He is always stuffing his face-yogurt, cereal, cookies, bread, pretzels, apples, oranges, pineapple, chips & salsa-even really hot salsa.
-What kind of girl do you think David is looking for?
-I’m pretty sure he likes girls who are more on the wild side-more bold and less shy than he is. He likes randomness. He would never date anyone who was sexually promiscuous or anything like that. Just someone with a more dominant personality than him. He will date a girl who shares his values, morals, and ethics. He definitely likes fun girls and clings more to the wild types. David is kind of a dork, very unique and silly, and probably not what people would expect once they get to know him.
David is a very picky person and will be VERY selective when it comes to romance. He is definitely not the type of guy who dates girls to jump in bed with them. He is into the soul and personality of girls. He has something specific in mind when he thinks of a long term relationship.
-Weird fan encounters?
-He’s told a few funny stories. People approach him a lot when he’s out with family and friends. Some people can be weird and pushy. A lady asked if she could kiss him which freaked him out a little. A guy started grabbing him once and that definitely scared him! He’s not a very touchy-feely person, but he’s good with giving fans hugs. But there’s a line you don’t cross with David. He isn’t very affectionate with most people unless he knows them very well. He feels uncomfortable when people invade his personal space. Another lady asked him to sign her dog but he didn’t because he loves animals.
-What is David’s favorite non-Pixar movie?
-David loves Disney. He loves the Chipmunks, Minnie, and Pluto. He likes the Shrek movies, the Incredibles, Toy Story, Over the Hedge, and the Lion King. He’s not into the princess movies. He loves the Jungle Book because he loves the big bear, and he loves Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
-Are David and Adam still best friends?
-I’m not sure why it was ever portrayed that he & Adam were best friends. They are not at all. He and David don’t have must in common. They are acquaintances who are friendly and can hang out occasionally but Adam was never his best friend at any point. David was better friends with his brother Nate, who he admires and looks up to.
-Which family member is David closest to?
-He and his mom are really close. He’s close to all of his siblings in different ways, it just depends on the situation. He has a different relationship with everyone in his family.
-If David were dating someone, would he be open about it or keep it to himself?
-He’s a private person and would keep it to himself. He would probably admit that he’s dating but wouldn’t name names.
-Does David have a type of girl he’s attracted to in terms of race or ethnicity?
-David is very liberal with race and looks, so it’s hard to say what nationality or type of looks the girl will have.
-Is David a night person or a morning person?
-He’s definitely a night person, not a morning person at all. He stays up all night frequently!
-Was David a procrastinator when it came to school work or did he start his assignments the day they were given to him?
-He is a bit of a both depending on the situation. He has a tendency to procrastinate a lot though. He’s more attentive to certain things but it depends on his mood. When it came to school, he liked to get his projects over with.
-Does David cook?
-Not really, but he bakes cookies sometimes. He’s one of those people that messes up anything they try to cook.
-How is he with little kids?
-He’s GREAT with little kids. He has a ton of patience with them and plays with him. They tend to listen to him.
-Is David a clean or messy person?
-He’s pretty neat. He can be disorganized but he’s pretty clean.
-David has said many times that he isn’t ready to date-do you see this changing any time soon?
-David goes on fun play dates, but isn’t serious about that stuff yet. He’s taking it slow right now and focusing on his career. It’s hard to think of him dating anytime soon but the time will come eventually.
-Where do you think David will live for the rest of his life?
-He likes to explore different areas and cultures, but he loves Utah and will always consider it his home. He made it clear that he doesn’t want to move to LA permanently.
-Does David know anyone disabled?
-Not positive but I’m sure he does.
-Would something like the subject of TMH ever take place-seeing a fan and making that kind of connection?
-He likes to know the person before really building a friendship. He’s not the kind of person to meet someone randomly, and he has a hard time trust people. After some time he eases up a bit, but he has some trust issues with most people.
-What does David like to do in the snow?
-He loves building snowmen!
-Is David a good driver?
-Yes, he drives very well and is very cautious except when he gets distracted by his loud music or by talking. He’s never had any tickets or anything.
-Is it true that David is part Basque?
-He is Honduran, Basque, and Irish.
-Which celebrities would David be excited to meet?
-He really wants to meet Sara Bareilles. He would go crazy to meet her. He likes a few celebrities but he doesn’t go nuts over them. He was excited to meet Gavin Degraw and he really really liked him.
-Things David Doesn’t Like.
-Swearing, littering, sexual promiscuity, shrimp, fish, sushi, rap music (mostly), the color pink, conceited people, selfishness, people who are overly loud and obnoxious, beans, coffee, pictures of himself, seeing himself on TV, hearing himself on the radio, when people complain a lot, when people become obsessed with their boyfriend/girlfriend, when people change who they are to please others, when girls complain about their appearance, when girls won’t eat in front of guys, drugs, people who drink a lot, racism, discrimination, abuse.
-Can David drink caffeine?
-He can if he wants to. He likes tea. Mormons CAN drink caffeine, it’s just something that’s in the code of ethics but it’s up to the person to choose, similar to how missions aren’t mandatory, just encouraged.
-Favorite household chore?
-Doesn’t have one.
-Has a movie ever made David cry?
-I’ve seen him cry at a few but I can’t remember which.
-Does David have any phobias?
-He has a phobia of needles and doctors. He’s afraid to bungee jump or do anything too crazy.
-Favorite fruit?
-Pineapple.
-Is he a good swimmer?
-He is a pretty good swimmer, but he doesn’t get to swim much anymore and when he does he keep his clothes on.
-Why in his clothes?
-He’s modest.
-How did his family take his loss on American Idol?
-They were really grateful that he came in second place. He was happier than ever and so at peace with the whole thing, so they were supportive of that.
-Have people crawled out of the woodwork to cash in on David’s fame after not speaking to him for a while?
-Definitely!
-Favorite animal?
-Monkeys, dogs, and basically every animal under the sun. He’s a huge animal-lover.
-Has he ever been to Asia?
-No.
-Did his family members vote for him?
-Some.
-Does he look at people’s MySpaces when they comment his official MySpace?
-He doesn’t really have time to look through people’s MySpaces. He looks at his friends on his personal account, but he uses Facebook much more now.
-Does David like country music?
-He likes it but isn’t not his favorite genre.

-Spring and summer.
-Does David have any idea about the online polls he wins?
-No.
-Does David use his phone or his computer more?
-He’s always on his laptop, but uses his phone to text a lot. He brings his laptop everywhere and is logged in online even when he’s not at his computer.

-Christmas and Thanksgiving.
-Are David’s friends as innocent as he is?
-Most aren’t as innocent as him, but they’re still fairly innocent. Some of them swear but not often.
-Is David certified in CPR?
-Not to my knowledge.
-Does David work out?
-He loves to run but doesn’t work out that much. He wants to get a personal trainer.
-Would David kill a bug for me if I was freaking out?
-No, he won’t kill them for anyone-he says they aren’t bothering anyone. If I kill one, he lectures me because he loves animals and nature. He’s not afraid of them, but possibly spiders & snakes. He isn’t afraid of rats and actually seems to like them.
-Biggest fear?
-Still needles and doctors. Maybe intimacy!
-How does he react to kissing scenes in movies?
-He closes his eyes! He won’t even watch The Notebook because he isn’t into romantic movies.
-Has David started reading ‘Twilight’?
-No, and he probably won’t.
-Will David watch Season 8 of American Idol if he has the time?
-Definitely.
-Did he feel awkward with any scenes from the ALTNOY music video?
-He probably felt awkward with a few scenes but it wasn’t anything intense. If he had been too uncomfortable, he wouldn’t have done it. He didn’t know Fernanda or any of the extras in the video beforehand.
-How did David write ALTNOY?
-He pulls lyrics from people’s experiences and what he sees around him-he doesn’t have to feel the emotions himself because he is so good at putting himself in other people’s shoes and delve into their emotions.
-Does he know how to skate or snowboard?
-He knows how to rollerblade, but he’s clumsy so he can’t snowboard.
-Favorite books?
-Billboard Magazines, animal books, and The Alchemist, although he hasn’t finished reading it yet.
-Is it hard to tell when David is upset?
-He does a good job covering it up especially if you don’t know him well. When he’s upset he doesn’t talk much and is more withdrawn, but he’ll still smile.
-Does David ever regret pursuing music?
-I don’t think he regrets pursuing music, although he does miss the normal parts of his life like going outside and being a normal kid without people invading his private life. He’s a private person so he’s had to adjust to all the publicity and cameras.
-Was David usually on time for school?
-He took the school bus, so yes.
-How much does David weigh?
-Not sure but his waist is a 29 or 30 in pants. He gained 15-17 lbs since he left to do Idol.
-What does David smell like?
-He smells like baby powder a lot because he wears that. He wears cologne at times but I can’t remember what it’s called. He wears deodorant too.
-Favorite TV shows?
-Fairly OddParents, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. He used to love Rugrats. He watches Animal Planet a lot.
-Does David like Chinese food?
-He loves Chinese food, he eats it a lot. His favorite is either sweet & sour chicken without the broccoli or sesame chicken. He also loves Thai food (but we know that)
-Favorite restaurants?
-Olive Garden, Chillis, Thai Restaurants, Chinese buffets, IHOP, and Starbucks. At Starbucks orders hot chocolate or herbal tea and eats cookies. At Chillis he likes Southwest Eggrolls.
-Does he play any sports apart from Cross Country?
-He plays some for fun like dodgeball, basketball and he rollerblades.
-Is he very religious?
-Yes, he’s very devout and focused on doing the right thing. He reads the Bible often and prays.
-Favorite colors?
-Red, yellow, green, and blue.

-4 or 5.
-Is David good at art, like drawing or painting?
-Definitely not at all!
-Is David good at math?
-He’s not good at math and it’s probably his worst subject. He’s a very good writer and excels in English, but math isn’t his thing.

-PacSun, Men’s Express, H&M, and thrift stores. He loves t-shirts with Volcom, Hurley or Salvage on them.
-Does David have a piano in his house?
-Yes.

-Disneyworld.
-Did David get a new cell phone since he left it on the plane? Does he text a lot?
-Yes, last week he got one and changed his number. It’s a T-Mobile phone he got from a gift lounge at a Jingle Ball. Yes, he texts a lot.
-What did David want for Christmas?
-He never asks for anything for Christmas or his birthday. He’s really grateful for everything he already has.
-Does he have any goofy habits?
-He makes some weird faces sometimes. He’s very expressive.

-Showers.
-Has David ever been grounded?
-A few times but hardly ever.
-Biggest pet peeve?
-Swearing, lying.
-What does he do with clothing that doesn’t fit him anymore?
-The clothes he’s gotten in the past 6 months should still fit him, and his brother is bigger than him so he can’t really give them to him.

-No, he has his own room.
-Does David get tired of all the attention he gets?
-Tired isn’t the right word because he appreciates the support. Sometimes he wishes people would respect his personal space more, and he likes his privacy, which people sometimes invade by approaching him so often even if they don’t do it on purpose. He understands and definitely deals with it well. He’s not the type to bring attention to himself so he enjoys having time for his family and friends without the outside world looking in. There’s a time and place for all of that, but people push it at times.

-White.
-Does David know about the creepy things we talk about on fansites?
-If he did, he’d probably be scared by some of it.
-Does David ever visit this site or any of his other fansites?
-No, he never visits fansites about himself.
-Does David know his album went gold?
-Yes, someone informed him.
-Does David like Burger King?
-No, he’s not a big fan of fast food. He got sick from eating Burger King a few years ago so he doesn’t eat it anymore.

-16.

-No, they hate it, and so does his mother.

-No, he doesn’t go on any Idol sites. He goes on virtual pet sites, like Neopets and he posts on some animal forums. He likes Flickster and iLike, and spends a lot of time on his Facebook. He adds all the quizzes and applications on his private Facebook.
-Why doesn’t David have heat in his house?
-He does have heating, it just doesn’t work very well. He also has a fireplace.
-Does David work with his dad in the yard or with fixing things around the house?
-No, he and his dad don’t bond that way. David is good at fixing computers and gadgets though.

-Plain, thick crust & crispy.
-What does David like to do in his leisure time besides listen to music?
-He likes to spend time with his family and his mom. He loves eating, driving around, going to movies, seeing plays, and taking pictures-he takes a lot of weird pictures, like of animals he likes.

-Family. He likes going out with friends also, but he always puts family first.

-He hasn’t talked to her in a while but they were cool.

-He wants to visit Italy and Paris, and go back to Honduras.

-His teachers all loved him. He got detention for forgetting his book once!

-No, he hates cliques. He doesn’t believe in cliques-he tried to be friends with everyone.

-He likes the lights off. He even sits in the dark a lot!

-He spends time with his family, watches Christmas movies and eats. He went to Georgia for two weeks with his family last year.

-He texts pretty fast and types very fast-he’s been using computers since he was about 9 years old.

-He has a Dell and a Mac which he mainly uses.

-His room is pretty clean, just a little cluttered and sometimes his clothes are on the floor.

-I’m not sure but I believe he just writes it up.

-No, he doesn’t wear that much jewelry. He just wears a necklace and bracelet sometimes.

-He loves his iPod. He has a teddy bear named Billy. He loves movies and DVDs of cartoons. He has a lot of games. He likes Scene-It, Trivial Pursuit, and Scattergories. He likes his laptop and uses it all the time. He’s obsessed with Snoopy and Garfield.
-What kind of girl would you like to see him with?
-Just someone he deserves, someone who suits him.
-Does David feel confident in his songwriting abilities?
-He doubts his abilities as a songwriter, but he’s very good at it. I don’t know when his second album will be out, but he will probably write most of it.
-Does David watch the Disney channel?
-He watches Cartoon Network a lot, but he watches the Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
-Do you think David would date a girl 2-3 years younger than him?
-No, I don’t think he’ll date a girl much younger. He likes to stay within his age range. I could see him dating a girl a little older, but not more than a year or so.
-Has David seen the movie Juno?
-No, he won’t watch that kind of movie. He won’t watch anything rated-R or with sexual content, and he isn’t into romantic movies.
-Do you remember any of David’s Halloween costumes besides Dracula and the Power Ranger?
-He was a gangster last year.
-Have you ever caught David doing something weird, like dancing around by himself?
-No, not really, but I know he sings in the shower.

-Not really, but he’ll be assertive about his beliefs and won’t let people change his mind.

-No, he used to do things for his neighbors but wouldn’t take money for it.

-Definitely.

-Probably his mother.

-He’ll say it to his mother but not too much to other people.
-What’s the worst thing you remember David doing?
-His worst punishment was when he came home from church when he was little and played outside in his clothes when his dad told him not to.
-Do you like playing David in Guitar Hero?
-No, because he always wins!
-What toothpaste does David use?
-Whatever’s in his house.
-Has David ever eaten anything weird, like an ant?
-No, he won’t eat fish, so definitely not an ant. He’s scared to try fish. He hates shrimp even though he only tried it when he was little. And he says he hates fish but he’s never tried any of it.
-Does David eat meat?
-He eats chicken, turkey, and cheeseburgers.
-Has David gotten into any arguments regarding his faith?
-No, he never gets into arguments; he’s good at avoiding confrontation.
-Was David the same as he is now when he was younger?
-He’s the same as he was when I first met him, but a little more confident now. He’s always been shy, modest, and humble, but he’s more outgoing now. He was VERY shy for a long time, but it’s hard to be shy now when so many people want to talk to you. He still acts like a kid though-he’s very fun and playful, and keeps himself busy doing silly things. He doesn’t want to be 18 because he thinks it’s weird. He’s a kid at heart, and doesn’t want to grow up!
-What kind of iPod does David have?
-I just know it’s white.
-Does he have celebrity friends that he keeps in touch with?
-Jordin Sparks and Jason Castro, and Brooke White obviously.
-What movie can David watch over and over and still enjoy it?
-Finding Nemo.
-What time does David normally get up?
-It depends-sometimes he sleeps till 11, but he has to get up earlier if he’s working in LA, I’m sure.
-Scrambled eggs or fried eggs?
-Scrambled, but he doesn’t like eggs that much.
-Bagels or toast?
-He eats them both, not sure which he prefers.
-Apple juice or orange juice?
-He doesn’t like apple juice, but he loves orange juice.

-He likes both, but chocolate.

-iTunes.
-Does he like playing music loudly?
-Not too loud.
-Why does David need 2 laptops and 2 cell phones? Most teenagers are fine with just one of each, so having two seems kind of spoiled.
-Actually, he HAD two cell phones and only has one now. He has two laptops because his dad gave him an old one, but it barely works so he only uses one. He is the FURTHEST thing from spoiled. He is the most unmaterialistic person you could ever meet. Every teen has a cell phone, and the show happened to give the Top 12 iPhones. His dad is in the computer business so there are several computers in his family.
-Is David always prepared and organized for school?
-He’s usually over-prepared.
-Is David a perfectionist?
-He’s definitely a perfectionist when it comes to himself.
-If David could be a fruit, what would it be?
-He loves pineapples..
-Does David have neat handwriting?
-No, it’s basically illegible!
-Do David and Claudia have the same friends?
-Not really, but they hang out together. They have their own friends though.
-Does David ever wake up from nightmares?
-Yeah, he does actually! He has nightmares a lot. He’s funny.
-What’s the nicest thing he’s ever done for you?
-He’s done a lot of nice things for me. Once I just really NEEDED ice cream, but I had no money so he got me the ice cream. When I asked him what kind he got, he said, “I didn’t have enough money to get both” so he just got it for me, but not for himself. I felt bad and asked why he did that, and he said it was cool and that he wanted me to have it since I wanted it so much and he didn’t.
-Did David let people cheat off of him during tests?
-He always does his homework with friends and they share answers. During tests he’ll let people cheat off of him, but he would never cheat himself.
-Have you and David ever gotten into a fight or argument?
-Not really-we’ve had disagreements but mostly over silly things. He yells at me if I swear or act too “boy-crazy”. He lectures all of us if we act boy-crazy or talk about being in love.
-What was the last movie David saw in theaters?
-The Day the Earth Stood Still. He thought it was okay and couldn’t sit still through the whole thing.
-How does David react if he gets a low grade?
-He usually gets straight A’s and he’s pretty hard on himself, but I don’t think he gets too depressed if he fails as long as he isn’t failing the actual class. He has a hard time with math, but he’s really good at writing.
-Does David like clothes from Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie&Fitch, or Aeropostale?
-He likes all of those and he likes weird t-shirts. He owns a lot of Hollister shirts.
-Does David watch the Jazz games when he has time?

-He thinks he’s creepy looking but he loves pineapples. He has Spongebob pajamas that he never wears.

-He wasn’t allowed to by his parents.

-He tans very well because of that Honduran blood!
-Does David take all the gifts at the gift lounges?
-No, he feels guilty taking any of them but they insist that he does.
-Does David like to babysit?
-Yes, but he won’t change diapers!
-Is David Mormon because of his parents or on his own?
-He’s very religious on his own, it isn’t pushed on him even though his parents are too.
