Popstar!: You have intense fans! What’s one crazy fan encounter that took you by storm?
David: They know everything about me it seems, even stuff they shouldn’t know, you know? It’s like, “Whoa, Nelly!” I said that I like Nutter Butters one time and instantly, I get like packs and packs in one day! I share, though- that’s always good about getting a lot of stuff, you can share it a lot easier. They already know I love Thai food- they even send me Thai food. You have to be smart about what you say! [Laughs!]

Popstar!: You recently did some acting when you guest-starred on the Nickelodeon show iCarly. Would you like to do more acting in the future?
David: I’m pretty (darn?) new to it, but I think it would be so much fun to keep doing it. I was nervous about it and just to see how fun it already was – it’s like, “This would be so cool to do!” I mean they’re all just hanging out and having a good time there. You need a good memory, though, so I’d have to work on that!

Popstar!: What advice do you have for future contestants on American Idol?
David: There’s definitely going to be a lot of work ahead of them, but it’s so worth it. If you want to do this, it will help you out. It’s such good training, if you can handle this, then you’re probably ready for putting in the work that it takes to have a singing career. It is a lot of work and you don’t get too much free time, but if you like singing and stuff then it is definitely for you because it’s so much fun!

Popstar!: You’ve mentioned before that you have friends who are into the Twilight series. What are some of your fave books?
David: I’ve read Harry Potter. I’ve only read the first book and I don’t know why that’s the only book I’ve read, because I was so into that book. I read it all day and I think that was the only book I read in a day. I usually take my time. I love the Harry Potter movies!
