David is taking his own sweet time with his fans in New Orleans. And the great news is:

According to a Very Reliable Source, David met Sara for the first time this weekend at the Family Gras, held at the Veterans Memorial Boulevard in New Orleans.

David met Sara in her trailer, and when he emerged, he had an important question for his management: “Sara wants me to sing with her today; can I?”  Well, unfortunately, due to contractual restrictions, the answer was no, but David was excited to have been asked! (Sourced from FOD)

David Archuleta has revealed he hates seeing himself on screen and hearing his own voice.

But at the launch of the American Idol Experience in Disney World, Florida, David said: “I’m looking forward to seeing how it all came together, even though I hope they don’t show very much of me because I hate seeing myself.”

He admitted he hadn’t even seen any of the shows in which he appeared.

“I don’t know, I’m just so weird-looking and I sound weird.

“Oh, I hate hearing myself. Like with the stuff on the album I kind of had to get the hang of so that’s not as bad, but everything else – no! I can’t stand it,” he added.

…Tonight (feb 14) was the Caesar parade- it’s a Metairie parade (New Orleans is the city, Metairie is the suburb). David was Grand Marshall, meaning he was one of the first floats and “the main guy” so to speak. The king of Caesar rode behind him, ha ha…David looked like he was having a blast throwing the beads. I followed his float for about 2 blocks. I caught three beads he threw. One I know he meant for me because he looked me in the eye, threw it, someone else caught it, then he tried again, and was successful ha ha…Jeff also threw me a bead! At a certain point in the VIP section, David had to break a champagne glass and make a speech…

David was able to celebrate his Abuelita’s birthday and have a small family reunion while in Central Florida this week for the opening of the American Idol Experience. Abuelita’s birthday was February 12th. Everyone met at David’s hotel room where he was staying. They had a GREAT time and David spent most of the night talking, laughing and just being silly with his cousins. David also serenaded his Abuelita with Happy Birthday!! I’m sure that made her day and his. The reunion was short but sweet. Unfortunately Mama Lupe and aunt Martha couldn’t make the reunion, but they were there in spirit even though they were miles away!!
