Last week was truly amazing for me.

I arrived at LCCT at about 1.30 p.m on 8th April 2009, the same day David Archuleta landed in Malaysia. We, my younger sister and I, decided to meet up with other Archies at KLIA and join the welcoming party. Though we had to wait for a long long time, nearly 7 hours, we had so much fun together with other Archies, screaming for just David’s arrival announcement on the information board, or screaming for nothing when we reckon a handsome guy coming out was David, haha, and I have to say this happened so many times.  haha.gif Many people smiled looking at us holding the banner for David (which talented Zaren from Singapore made for us) and they were very surprised when we told them we came from Vietnam to see David Archuleta.

Finally, David came out. The thing is I didn’t have the chance to see David because he was surrounded by fans and securities. And I had to take care of our luggage. Dang it! 7 hours waiting for him and didn’t see him.  argh.gif Anyway, my sister took a good video of David and I’ve kept watching it again and again to recall my fangirlness at that time.  Fangirl Pictures, Images and Photos

On the day of David’s showcase, Sat. 11th April, we met up with many Archies at Sunway College and joined pre-showcase gathering. We were so happy to be told by Kylie- AAM’s admin. that our showcase passes turned out to be VIP passes, that meant our seats were guaranteed at the front row in the centre.

We walked to Sunway Lagoon Amphitheatre to be ready for the showcase. After 3 Malaysian singers’s performances, David came out, the whole Amphitheatre immediately exploded with cheering, screaming, and lots of tears as well. He sang straight ALTNOY w/o doing the banter, and then 5 other songs.

I don’t think that I can describe the heavenly experience of seeing David live. He was so good, working the stage. I love his moving around the stage connecting with the audience (we screamed like crazy anytime he moved to other sides of the stage reaching out his hand to us). Honestly, I was totally/perfectly mesmerized by his beautiful smiles and passionate moves.  Love-Struck Kao Pictures, Images and PhotosYou have to listen to him live to witness that by yourself. The performance ended so fast without notice!

Then we were told that we were going to meet David in person and have his autograph. We stood in a queue and one by one, met David and tried to talk to him as much as possible. When it was my turn, I suddenly blacked out and didn’t know what I was talking about, just trying to move my lips. IPB ImageHe was there, directly in front of me, shining like the moon on its fullest day and like the sun on its mildest day. Now I understand that why all people who met David always talked about the aura and serenity around David. It’s complete true, my friends, and you have to see him to witness this miracle. And believe me, I’m not a teen but a woman, and never tell lies. ;)

So my dream of meeting David became true, but I didn’t have the courage to look directly at his face or his eyes. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to let go the feeling many weeks later on. All that I managed to say to him is: “David, I brought to you a lot of letters, postcards and gifts from Vietnamese Archies…” I don’t know if I just murmured or spoke out, but David had to pardon me. My meeting with David also ended so fast, for only about 30 secs. I even didn’t have the chance to say “David, pls come to Vietnam soon” which Vietnamese Archies recommend me to say.

Also, I didn’t say “I love you” to David. But David had his arm on my shoulder.  IPB Image

So, there’re so many regrets at a life-time opportunity. argh.gif That’s why I need  to /have to/ will see David again.

Finally, I can’t thank you enough, Archuleta Avenue Malaysia’s angels- Kylie, Anne, John, Lily and Justine, for giving me valuable VIP passes, thus making my dream of meeting David come true, and everything you all did to unite us, including international Archies.

To Kitty, Alex, Tracy, Dora, Yanita, and Adelyn, thank you so much for your help to make my journey in Kuala Lumpur an unforgetable experience. You are so nice, kind-hearted and adorable.

To Larissa, Wincy, Steven, Chee Seng, and Anugrah, I finally met you- dedicated Archies who I always longed to meet. Thank you for being great fans of David.

To all other Archies, thank you for making my 1st experience of enjoying a live performance a memorable one which I’ll cherish for life.
