From Brooke’s Cincy story:

We walked into a pretty big room with what looked like a party inside. they had popcorn, drinks, and random foods like hot dogs and chili and nachos.

We could hear David doing sound-check down below (we could see the back of the stage from the private room.) so we didn’t see him, but we heard him so we knew he was nearby. after a few minutes, we didn’t hear him soundchecking anymore. Kristin was talking to us about something when suddenly she got a call. “oh, well, enough about me. someone is coming up here to see you.”

Everyone was spazzing. my heart felt like it was going to explode through my chest. I shook all over. My mouth was dry. My stomach was in gigantic knots. suddenly, I see her walking out of the room briefly and after a few short moments.

There he was. Was he real? I wasn’t sure if he was or not. I wanted to reach out and touch just to see if my hand wouldn’t like go through him or something. But he was just so perfect. like, the kind of perfect that is just so darn perfect its too much to handle all at once.

He sits, scoots up in his little chair, and greets us. “hey guys!” everyone cheers. when the cheers die down, I look up at him and say “hey David! how are you?” (a funny thing happens when David is in your presence. he literally melts your nerves away) “oh I’m great! thanks!” he says. and giggles.

He pointed to the hallway he came from. “the last time I was in that hallway, Cook was chasing me down there because he wanted to try and see if I really was as ticklish as I am.“

VIP Q and A: (from Chelsey’s story)

1. What was the funniest thing that had ever happened to David on stage?

- He said it was in Tulsa during the AI tour, when Cook, as he quotes, “threw…. some “things” at me!” (yeah, that’s the pink pants that made history, lol)

2. A girl asked him to sing “Falling”, even a little part of it, but for some reason he didn’t really want to.

So then she asked him where he sees himself in ten years.

He said just being a successful artist and that kind of thing. Going farther in his career.
