It’s been a while since we’ve heard and seen new material from David with the exception of his iCarley appearance last year, that is. Well, he’s back with an excellent love song for us all.
The song, titled Something ‘Bout Love is a clean, catchy summery pop/dance song about love. Everything that you need for that summer fling before returning to the daily grind.
In an industry where shock value is typically indicative of star power, David comes off as the underdog that steadily soars to the top. Good for David for staying clean and out of the spotlight. That’s one thing he did not learn from the big-name pop stars. It’s not often that you hear songs about love that aren’t so innocent. David’s lyrics are not only refreshing but inspirational and poetic. Most of all you can tell he sings from the heart and from experience. There is something ’bout love, and David nailed it in this tune.
Still, hearing this song makes one shake their head and wonder exactly how it was that he came in as the runner up in American Idol. That boy can sing! With some luck this song will soon dominate the airwaves.
