Children in ChildFund Philippines’ programs and a few of their school peers received a special treat last Sunday when David Archuleta made a surprise appearance at a ChildFund gathering held at a local school.

Moved by the performance that he described as “amazing” and “powerful,” Archuleta took the floor in turn, regaling the children with an a capella rendition of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge over Troubled Water,” followed by an encore of Robbie Williams’ “Angels.”
Archuleta then spent time meeting the children in small groups. Though he currently sponsors a child in Honduras, Sunday’s gathering was the first time Archuleta had the opportunity to interact with children in ChildFund’s programs.

As the event came to an end, many children said they would long remember this exciting day. As he departed, Archuleta expressed his happiness at meeting the children: “Gosh, I feel so good today! Thank you so much for this experience!”

Upon arrival at the venue, Davidwas greeted by 2 little boys, his co-actors in Nandito Ako. “Hello Kuya David!” they said, then they handed over to D a gift wrapped in silver paper with blue ribbon “KUYA” means: brother or respected older male figure.

Ana Feleo shares how David Archuleta pours his heart out on every scene. “Such a joy to work with David (…) killer instinct.
Jasmine:”David is so easy and light to work with, willing to listen and grow & adjust to whatever needs to be done.” Said she’ll miss everything about David.
Eula says she’ll miss David singing on the set of Nandito Ako during break time.
Director Mac C. Alejandre says he is very proud of David to be on board this special project. “A simple story that will touch people’s life,” on being asked about Nandito Ako.
TV5 Head of Creatives and Entertainment- Perci Intalan, talks about David, “We are very very proud to have David Archuleta on board. We all know him as a singer (…) You’ll be surprised he’s also an amazing actor”.

When asked about filming his miniserye, “I wanna keep doing it, I don’t want to stop,” said David. David says he feels at home in the Philippines, with the cast and crew, and TV5. He was nervous coming into it, he was not an actor, but each day confirmed it was worth it, getting to know the people, the challenge to act. Acting is an art, to express emotions, like music. He’s grown, matured. Acting teaches you alot about yourself, so he learned a lot, “if that makes sense.”
Talking about recently coming out of his ‘comfort zone’ so the timing was good.
When asked about working with TV5 again: “I’d love to come back”.
On being asked where is acting in his career path, David says: “I’ll look forward to doing more of this. It’s been so fun. I’m not the greatest actor, but I can’t wait to keep growing and improving. It’s a lot of work. I would love to keep doing and working on more.”
David says he admires Anne Curtis-Smith, Jasmine’s sister, because she inspires other people to follow their dreams.

There are a fight scene in which David hit a guy on the beach, a the bus scene in wich Josh wearing a hoodie and shades, a romantic scene in which David touched Jasmine’s cheek. Jasmine looked like she wanted to kiss him.
Epic moment when Archuleta Philippines singing their version of “Nandito Ako” to Davi, making David’s eyes tear up, and he had to wipe his happy tears at the end of the song, after giving Kricket a warm hug.
